Being Thankful

At home today because of a Level 3 snow emergency, and I was thinking about Being Thankful. During the Thanksgiving holiday, we focus on our blessings and express our gratitude to God for them. But thanks should be on our lips everyday. We can never say thanks you enough to parents, friends, leaders, and especially to God. We have so much to be thankful for in this country. As bad as it has been for many people in America, we still have it better than most of the rest of the world. We live in a country that allows us freedom. The freedom to choose how we worship, the freedom to come and go as we please, the freedom to choose how we live our life, and the freedom to change our life financially if were willing to pay the price.

I was watching a show about the early Roman times and back then, your lot in life was cast for you. There wasn’t much opportunity to change the direction or status of your life. It was what it was. Not true in America. We all have the ability through discipline, persistence, and consistency of effort to change our station in life.

Many people I meet seemed to have stopped dreaming and trying to change their life for the better. Unfortunately, many people having stopped believing in themselves and have lost the hope of changing their lives and living the good life. Please don’t stop dreaming and trying. We live in a country where anything is possible and you have the freedom to just go for it. Be thankful and grateful for this freedom and then go take advantage of it.

When thanksgiving and gratitude becomes an integral part of our life. you will find that your attitude toward life will change. You will become more positive, gracious, loving and humble. Wake up everyday Being Thankful.

Have an awesome day.
