A Life of Significance

Do you want to live a life of significance or a life of mediocrity? Do you feel sometimes like your not living up to your potential? Would you like to be a winner in the game of life? If the answer to these questions is yes, then I have a couple of books that you should read. I was on vacation this past week and was able to read more than I usually do and I wanted to share some books I think might help in your quest to be a winner and live a life of significance.

The first book I read was a book called, The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. This is an amazing little book that can change your life with the wisdom of ten ancient scrolls handed down for thousands of years. You don’t have to be a salesperson to appreciate the book because it’s really about being successful at anything you do. It’s a short read but one that you will want to read over and over again.

Another book I’m still in the process of reading is The Winners Manual by Jim Tressel. If you are a Ohio State Buckeyes fan or someone who just wants to be a winner in life, this is a must read. In his book, Jim Tressel talks about The Journey of Success and the Block O of life. He then discusses the Big Ten Fundamentals he teaches his teams and feels are critical to enjoying a successful life. The book finishes up with Game Changers which I still need to read.

Most of you that have followed my Blog for a while know that I am a huge believer that we must find ways to learn and grow every single day. Much of my knowledge has been gained through audio tapes and CD’s. I am not a avid reader but the more invest time in reading the more I enjoy it. Whatever you do, just get started reading or listening to something. It’s very easy to listen to something while your working out or in your car on the way to work. I try not to watch TV and listen to the radio very much. I try to do something everyday that helps me grow spiritually, physically, in my  relationships, and in my career.

Everything you need for a better future and success has already been written. And guess what? It’s all available. All you have to do is go to the library. But guess what? Only three percent of the people in America have a library card. Wow, they must be expensive! No, they’re free. Probably in every neighborhood. Three percent!–Jim Rohn

If you want to be a winner and live a life of success, all the information is available. Searching and learning is the beginning to living a life of significance. You can do anything you want if you just put your mind to it.

Have an awesome day!
