I woke up the morning about 5:00 and I didn’t get up because I thought I might be able to get an extra 1/2 hour of sleep. Once I wake up, I usually can’t get back to sleep because my mind has already started thinking about what I need to accomplish for the day. This morning was a little different in the fact that I couldn’t get my mind off the fact that most people won’t pay the price to go out and win for themselves and their families. As most of you know, I am usually very excited about life and the eternal optimist and I don’t want this to come off as a negative message. In fact, as we approach a new year and a new decade, I want this to be a message that inspires people to go make something happen in a big way in 2010.
Much of this relates to my Fortune business because that is where I get to interact with many individuals on a daily basis. I am baffled at times at the number of people I meet to share what I believe is the greatest opportunity that exists out there today to change their families financial future, and yet many will still not take action. In most cases, it’s not because they don’t get it. I’m also baffled with the number of people who do see it but never seem to get started and implement a plan of action. I guess it’s just a matter of the 80/20 rule applying. I just don’t understand why more people don’t want to be a part of the 20%.
As most of you know, my marketing business tag line is “Helping People Help Others”. I really do want to see others succeed in life and I want to be instrumental in helping and supporting their efforts. I guess that’s why this was bugging me this morning. I just hate seeing people not take advantage of having an abundant life.
After getting out of bed I got on my bike to ride for 45 minutes and was listening to a MyTelTag message from Paul Orberson and he is talking about choices. Paul says, Life is all about choices. Every choice you make will determine who you are and who you become. He asks the question, “Who will I become? I think that’s a great question for all of us to ask and ponder on as we make choices. Paul goes on to quote from a book by Dr. Seuss called Oh The Places You’ll Go. “You have the brains in your head, you have the feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose”.
This past decade and in particular 2009 will not be looked upon with favor by most. I believe the next year and decade will be a great time for many people. I believe the resolve of the American people will produce prosperous times again but the people we become will depend upon our choices. I hope and pray that you will strive to make a difference in 2010 for you, your family, and in the lives of others. I wish you all the Happiest of New Years and a very prosperous 2010.
Have an awesome day and live life with passion.
