Persistence

Persistence is the eighth step toward riches and Napoleon Hill calls it “The Sustained Effort Necessary To Induce Faith.” The basis of persistence is will-power. Will-power and desire when put together can make an awesome pair. The majority of people are willing to give up on their desire and dreams at the first sign of adversity or setback. There are a few who will carry on, despite adversity, to attain their goal. I hope you have made the decision to be on those select few.

Lack of persistence is one of the major causes of failure in men and women and as we have talked about before, it is a common weakness in many people. It is a weakness that can easily be overcome, and the way to correct that weakness is through the intensity of one’s desire. if we have a strong enough desire, we won’t allow ourselves to procrastinate.

The starting point of all achievement is DESIRE. Weak desire brings about weak results. It’s just like a small fire provides a small amount of heat and a large fire produces a large amount of heat. The same is true with our desire. If we find ourselves lacking in persistence, then just build a larger fire under our desire. Our persistence is proportionate to our desire.

Every great achiever has used persistence to accomplish their dreams and goals. Without it, we are destined to stay in mediocrity. With persistence, we can accomplish anything our heart desires, including financial freedom. The choice is always ours. Is your desire and drive strong enough to fulfill your dreams?

Be persistent enough to never quit on anything and have an awesome weekend.
