Emotions

As we have discussed before, the subconscious mind is more susceptible to impulses of thought that are mixed with feeling or emotion. In fact, there is evidence that suggests only emotionalized thoughts have any action influence upon the subconscious mind. Since the subconscious mind responds more quickly to and is influenced more easily by thought impulses mixed with emotion, it is incumbent upon us to understand which emotions are more important.

Napoleon Hill describes seven major positive emotions and seven major negative emotions. The negative emotions voluntarily inject themselves into the subconscious mind while the positive emotions have to be placed there by us through the principle of auto-suggestion. The seven major positive emotions are: DESIRE, FAITH, LOVE, SEX, ENTHUSIASM, ROMANCE, and HOPE. The seven major negative emotions are: FEAR, JEALOUSY, HATRED, REVENGE, GREED, SUPERSTITION, and ANGER.

There are other positive emotions, but if you can master these seven positive emotions, the others will fall into place. Positive and negative emotions can’t occupy the subconscious mind at the same time. It is your responsibility to make sure the positive emotions are dominating your mind. This is simply accomplished by your habits and use of these seven positive emotions. If you get into the habit of only allowing positive emotions and thoughts into your mind, you will gain control over your subconscious mind.

Always be conscious and careful what you feed your mind.

Have an awesome weekend and be passionate about life.
