Napoleon Hill said that wishing will not bring riches. But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, then planning definite ways and means to acquiring those riches, and backing those plans with persistence that does not allow for failure, will bring riches.
He gives a practical, simple, six step method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent:
- Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It’s not sufficient merely to say, “I want plenty of money”. Be definite as to the amount.
- Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such thing as something for nothing)
- Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
- Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
- Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
- Read your written statement aloud , twice daily, morning and night. As you read–see and feel and believe yourself already in possession of the money.
We have reviewed this before but I believe it’s so timeless and valuable that it is worth repeating. I think that many people won’t buy in or take the time to put this in writing and therefore never really attain what it is they desire. Many can’t picture themselves in possession of the money because they haven’t developed the burning desire and convinced themselves that it will happen. Isn’t it worth a try to see if it really will work? Do you really want to change the financial picture for you and your family? How bad do you want it? You can do it!
Have a wonderful day.
