Organized Planning

“Success requires no explanations, failure permits no alibis” — Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill referred to Organized Planning as “The Crystallization of Desire Into Action,” and is the sixth step towards riches. We have already discussed having a plan of action to turn our desire, with the help of imagination, into concrete plans for its achievement. He talks about having a “Mastermind Group” or a “Sacred Circle” that will not only help us with our plans but will also help in holding us accountable for implementation of those plans. We will talk more about the “Mastermind Group” another day, but you must have a plan to get anywhere.

Along the way, we will meet with temporary defeat. Thomas Edison failed thousands of times before perfecting the incandescent light bulb. Temporary defeat only means that we need to adjust our plan. Our achievements are no greater than our plans. No one is ever beaten until they quit in their own mind. It’s very easy to go down for the count when things get tough, but the mentally tough keep going. Every person that has been successful has met with temporary defeat. The only difference between them and many who have failed is they adjusted their plans or made new plans and kept going.

No one can reasonably expect to acquire a fortune or accomplish anything of significance without experiencing temporary defeat. Napoleon Hill says, if you give up before you accomplish your goal, you are a “quitter”. You have heard it said before that QUITTERS NEVER WIN AND WINNERS NEVER QUIT.

Don’t ever give up on yourself and make it an awesome day.
