Yesterday, we talked about changing our thinking regarding the comfort zone. It means a change in our philosophy. In order to increase your wealth, you have to expand your comfort zone. If we challenge our mind to expand our comfort zone, we will naturally expand our wealth zone.
T. Harv Ecker said, the most important skill you can master to increase your happiness and success is training your mind. He says the way you do that is to start by observing your thought process. There are empowering thoughts, those that lead to success, and disempowering thoughts, those that don’t support your wealth and happiness.
As we start to identify our thoughts, we need to replace the disempowering thoughts with empowering ones. We all have the ability to choose our thoughts and therefore control our mind. We simply need to focus on empowering thoughts and cancel any thought that doesn’t support us.
We need to observe our thought patterns and challenge that little voice in our head that tells us, “I don’t want to” or “I don’t feel like it” or “ I can’t”. Don’t let this fear-based, comfort-based voice tell you what to do. Make an agreement with yourself that whenever that little voice tries to stop you from doing something that doesn’t support your success you will do it anyway. Eventually that little voice will become quieter because it will realize it has little effect on you.
You can practice getting out of your comfort zone by doing things or making decisions that make you uncomfortable. What causes unhappiness is constantly wondering what could have been. What creates happiness is living up to our full potential and being the best you can be and then helping someone else to do the same.
The minute we get comfortable is the minute we stop growing. Managing our minds to live on the edge of our comfort zone allows us to grow and reach our full potential.
Jim Rohn said, “To have more than you’ve got, become more than you are.”
Expand your comfort zone and manage your mind.
Have a wonderful weekend.
